Where ritual, performance and theatre meet
Show Aufguss is a performance-based sauna ritual that combines traditional heat and scent with storytelling, music, lighting, and choreography. Performed by one or more saunamasters, it turns a classic sauna session into a staged experience where timing, atmosphere, and movement are carefully crafted to guide the audience through an emotional and sensory journey.

The MODERN CLASSIC CUP is an international sauna competition dedicated to the pure art of classic Aufguss, returning to the foundations of the ritual: music, essential oils, and precise towel technique—without costumes, props, or theatrical effects. National champions and selected finalists perform solo rituals that demonstrate heat control, fragrance composition, rhythm, and atmosphere, all evaluated by a professional jury.

What started as a small group of pioneers has become a continuously expanding family of nations, united by a shared passion for sauna culture and Show Aufguss.
